This page explains exactly how our referral compensation works.

What Generates a Referral Fee

A referral fee is paid when:

• A referred student enrolls at a partner university through Prestige Scholar
• The student receives a scholarship
• Prestige Scholar collects the success fee

No scholarship means no success fee and no referral payout.

Total Fee Pool

Prestige Scholar charges students a success fee equal to

• 10 percent of the total four-year scholarship value

Example Scholarship

• Total four-year scholarship value $40,000 USD
• Prestige Scholar success fee 10 percent equals $4,000 USD

All referral payouts are paid from these $4,000 USD fees.

Standard Three Tier Referral Structure Example

For a 40,000 scholarship

• Direct referrer receives 3 percent of scholarship value
• 3 percent of $40,000 USD equals $1,200 USD

• Second level referrer receives 1 percent
• 1 percent of $40,000 USD equals $400 USD

• Third level referrer receives 0.5 percent
• 0.5 percent of $40,000 USD equals $200 USD

Total referral payout at three levels

• $1,200 USD plus $400 USD plus $200 USD equals $1,800 USD

Prestige Scholar retained portion

• $4,000 USD success fee minus $1,800 USD referral payout equals $2,200 USD

Extended Referral Chains Beyond Three Levels

If a referral chain extends beyond three levels

• An additional 0.5 percent of scholarship value is allocated to levels beyond the third
• This 0.5 percent equals $200 USD on a $40,000 USD scholarship
• This amount is divided equally among all referrers beyond level three

Example with eight total referral levels

• Levels four through eight equal five participants
• $200 USD divided by five equals $40 USD each

Maximum Referral Payout Cap

Total referral payouts are capped at 5 percent of scholarship value

For a $40,000 USD scholarship

• Maximum total referral payout equals $2,000 USD

This ensures program sustainability and transparency.

Payment Timing

Referral payouts are issued

• After the student accepts their scholarship
• After Prestige Scholar collects the success fee
• Payments are made electronically to registered partners
